Complete refinishing, restoration, repair service of your old chopping board. As wood is a natural product it will over time become lack luster, crack, chip, warp as well as sport marks from general use. Most issues can be resolved. I can strip and repair the boards as required. You have the option to have them sent back without a finish for you to do yourswelf, or I can seal in mineral based oil, see the pictures below. Mineral oil takes quite a long time to properly dry between coats. I tend to do at least 3 coats, before a buff and final light coat, so turnaround will be between two and three weeks. If you are unsure as to the severity of damage to your board, feel free to send me a photo, I will happily adivse.

This solid Walnut chopping board is the first board I ever made, because of that it has significant sentimental value to me. A friend of mine gave me some pieces of Walnut tree rings that still had the bark on, not complete rings, but sections of. Having gone through copious numbers of pine boards, I decided to use that beautiful Walnut to create a hard wood chopping board that would hopefully last. 15 years on, my pride and joy is starting to look a bit worse for wear, in need of some serious TLC. It occoured to me that perhaps there may be others that for very different reasons would like their boards refinished? So tongue in cheek I am offering just that.

As you would be sending the board to me I would advise enclosing a pre-paid returns label. Please send in a reuseable box to minimise un-necessary waste - every bit helps our climate.
