A Hollie Childe Art painting has been turned into this lovely Mouse On Flower Hanging wooden slice. Wonderland Works commissioned wildlife artist - Hollie Childe, to paint an image of a little mouse on a flower of her choice for us to apply to our lovely rustic wooden slices. This was the outcome. A wonderful watercolour field mouse enjoying the springtime on top of a bright daisy with splats of pastel and spring colours around.

Each of these log slices measure from between 10 - 15cm in diameter and are 2cm thick, there is a hole in the top of each one so you can hang it around your home to give your room a lovely country rustic look about it.

Each slice has been lovingly hand decorated by myself by first painting the slice and then carefully applying (using my own special decoupage technique) Hollie Childe’s painting of the Mouse On Flower. It has then been sealed to protect this from the dust and bumps of your home.

This is a Hollie Childe image and only Wonderland Works has the rights to use this image on log slices.

My inspiration came from a stock shortage issue! My slate hanging plaques had sold out and I was unable to get hold of any, this meant I had to think of an alternative for a wall hanging.

In the meantime I had always dreamed of collaborating with an artist to make unique pieces for me to work with. I really wanted this to be with my favourite artist, so I bit the bullet... it paid off!!

The idea of a mouse came from the fact that I could not get hold of anything mouse related and with it being spring the field mice were coming out of hibernation and looking as cute as ever. I asked Hollie Childe Art if she wouldn’t mind and this is the masterpiece that she came up with. I don’t know about you, but this is just the cutest!!
