Item details

This sheep (well Ram really) is needlefelted with Herdwick, Merino and Shetland wool, and the rocks are Wet Felted with Herdwick wool representing the dry stone walls found throughout the Cumbrian Fells. The background is a simple pale blue so as not to distract from this particularly clumsy Ram.

The Artwork has been framed with a pale grey frame (with glass) and the measurements are 27 x 27cms and depth 3cms. The frame has one hook or can standalone.

Sheep are always associated with Cumbria particularly the local Herdwick sheep that have such lovely faces, character and strength in harsh conditions. However it is their characters that really appealed to me and taking some inspiration from Artwork by William Geldart I adapted the shapes and character into a unique handmade textured picture.
