Item details

Made from driftwood with a pebble counter balance. This sculpture uses the tension in the strings to make the top part look like it's defying gravity.

This one is called 'Elephas' as the extension piece with the pebble reminds me of an elephants trunk.

All materials used were sourced locally from my local beach. And no harmful chemicals are used in the cleaning and sanitising.

I offer free P&P as I will reuse plastic packaging as often as possible to minimise the amount that will end up in landfill and polluting our oceans.

For some of my sculptures I won't have any specific idea of what I want the final design to look like. I will just go through my supply of driftwood, trying out different ideas, until I find pieces that fit together well.

Once I find suitable pieces, I then need to try them in different configurations to work out how the sculpture will balance.

This can take me on a completely different journey, than I would normally take, and come up with new ideas I wouldn't have thought about.

This is one of those pieces.
