This is a giclée print on archival paper, taken from my original textile artwork. I have reworked the surface to add appliqué and embroidery to the stormy sea, so this is halfway between the original and a print. The piece is framed in black and ready for you to hang.

I have been walking along the coastline and across the hills, inspired by the book 'Windswept' by Annabel Abbs. Now, I'm busy working up ideas developing from these walks.

Squall, inspired by Winter visits to the Yorkshire coast. Fishermen's cottages hunker down against approaching storms. Waves crash against rocks and the wind howls, but thick stone walls protect us from the elements. That what this piece is all about.
This has proved to be one of my more popular prints, so I thought I would give you the chance to have an embellished version - so at the bottom of the piece I have reworked the sea in fabric and stitch. I like the way that this breaks up the straight edge of the print.
