Dogs, bones and paw prints in browns and pinks make up this delightful tote with matching bone print shoulder straps. The foundation is in cream calico, which has been machine stitched as have the straps and yokes (tops) to give them strength. Top stitching on the yokes and straps add extra detail. Although both the front and back of the bag are in the cathedral windows design they have some different motifs. See photos. Both yokes have canine silhouettes in pink, black and cream and are partially lined in the bone print. Each window has a cotton square in similar shades or theme to the main fabrics and hand stitched into position. Inside is a patch pocket with a smaller version of the cathedral windows design featuring multiple dogs. A wooden button with a dog motif is used to fasten the pocket, which is partially lined in the bone print. To the side is a key clasp attached to pink ribbon. Although care is taken when making the bags they are homemade and not perfect, which is why the price is low for this complicated patchwork design. The measurements for the bag are 28.5” inc straps, 15.5” without and 12.25” wide. Each strap measures approx 29”. It’s possible to wash the bag but please be aware that some shrinkage may occur. Wash on a cool, gentle cycle; dry flat; iron whilst damp. Please don’t tumble dry. The bag is for casual everyday usage; it can be used as a beach or overnight bag, for taking away on holiday and they make excellent gifts.
