A blue rutile glaze on a stoneware goblet. The glaze is amber, green and blue where thicker towards the base.
A robust wheel-thrown stoneware goblet that is perfect for a red wine at the end of the day. The foot is unglazed.
The goblet was thrown with a UK stoneware and, after biscuit firing and glazing the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- All of my work is one-of- a-kind and made by hand.
- As with all my pottery, items are food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
- The goblet measures approximately 10cm tall and 8cm wide.
- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9708.
Ruskinware for its exciting ceramic glazes and British art pottery. Impressionist paintings and, in particular, the brushwork and colour ranges in vanGogh's paintings where the adjacent strokes merge in the eye to provide a vibrant pattern of colour. The rutile glaze on textural marks of this goblet tries to create a similar effect
