An ice blue celadon glaze on a porcelain goblet. The glaze is transparent with crackle where thicker towards the base.
An elegant wheel-thrown porcelain goblet. The foot is unglazed white porcelain. The goblet is perfect for a white wine at the end of the day. It was thrown with a UK porcelain and, after biscuit firing and glazing the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- All of my work is one-of- a-kind and made by hand.
- As with all my pottery, items are food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
- The goblet measures approximately 12cm tall and 9cm wide.
- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9689.
I love throwing goblets because they are a challenge to make and they get used in a very personal setting. What a nice way for an artist to get privileged access to someones moment of relaxation! I take care to make my goblets look beautiful and be functional. The shape of this goblet feels great in the hand and the cool, ice-blue celadon glaze is a perfect setting for a refreshing white wine.- I can almost taste it now.
