This simple little pouch plant bag is an ideal spot to show off one plant. It is made from chocolate brown hessian so it is really hard wearing, fully lined with heavy duty polythene and the plant just pops in the top and hangs up by the hessian strap . All the assembly stitching is in black polyester thread. To add detail I have stitched a piece of dark brown leather to the front, over which I have stitched a small metal butterfly in shades of pink and red

Approximate dimensions with the bag laid flat are width 7"(18cm) and height 8 " (20cm) and the total length of the handle is 20" (49cm) .

This plant bag will hold a 9cm or 15cm plant pot and being made of hessian it will weather beautifully outside whilst the polythene lining keeps the hessian from being constantly damp when watering the plant. It particularly suits a trailing plant so that it can trail through the front aperture and the open top of the bag

This is an unusual garden decoration to hang on a wall or a tree branch. You can change the plant according to the seasons, I have pictured this one on its own, but a line of 3 or 5 would look lovely

Hessian is one of my favourite materials to work with, so decided to create something that combined both and was useful and offered a smaller size than my Knot Bag for plants. I love gardening and constantly look for unusual items to add to my collection. This plant holder is ideal for large and small gardens, and each one is individually made. I was playing around with adding decoration and with this smaller pouch type bag I can add tiny elements of decoration and use pieces I have held onto for too long.
