Mixed Media Acrylic Painting with Linoprint - Sea Echoing
Description
A framed mixed media piece with collaged linocut on my handmade silk paper with a wooden 'wave'. This abstract work has a quote from a reflection of mine and is flat mounted onto an acrylic painted backboard. the Silk paper is made from a waste product of the silk industry and the wave made from discarded wood.
It is glass fronted and measures 42.5 cm H x 52.5 cm W

Inspiration
The handmade paper with lino print and the shaped wood, were the basis for this painting. The print is a strong motif and spoke of horizons and memories of the sea. The words from a reflection I had written kept running in my head as I developed the piece, so I added them.
