This set of earrings are one of the most simplistic pieces in "The Sea in Silver" range yet their striking enamel makes them stand out. The blues in this set clearly define it as a stand out piece. The colours range from a hint of green at the top of the set to a paler blue at the bottom giving it a real depth of colour. The semi translucent enamel used means that some light is also reflected back from the surface below in the same way light might bouce back from the ocean floor at a shallow depth in crystal water like that found off the coast of Lewis.

Packaging

The boxes we use are 100% recycled card and recyclable and the stamp used is sourced from a carbon positive initiative. The boxes are also made and delivered to us flat packed from a UK based company reducing the Co2 emissions.

The postage padded envelopes are biodegradable and we have in place a tree planting partnership with Just One Tree to not only offset but counteract the pollution of delivery. We also aim to deliver only within the UK to prevent Co2 emissions from air freight.

I was inspired by a trip the Isle of Lewis, during which I had the chance to admire the beautiful seas and coastline as well as the rugged landscape. These sights and colours drew me to creating this piece using tones of enamel to reflect what I took to be the essence of the island, its skies and its seas.
