A large reusable cotton beeswax wrap with natural anti-bacterial properties. An ideal alternative to cling film. This size is perfect for covering blocks of cheese, bagels, and bowls.Simply mould with the warmth of your hands to create a seal.
See my website video tutorial on how to fold it into a snack pack.
Size: 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12")
To clean your wrap wipe down with a damp cloth or handwash with cool soapy water. A mild environmentally friendly detergent is recommended. Leave to air dry. After a few months you may like to repasteurise your wrap. Follow the video tutorial the make your wrap feel like new again.
Wraps are not recomended for raw meat or fish. Do not place in the microwave.
Your wrap will last approximately 12 months. Afterwhich you could buy a refresher block to rewax it or you can cut it up and compost it. Another alternative is to use the cut up pieces as fire lighters.
My beeswax is sustainably sources from local hobby beekeepers in Suffolk and Norfolk.
I first saw these in Australia in 2017. As a previous bee keeper I had lots of wax and scraps of cotton from unfinished craft projects! I initially started making for friends and family but now supply all my local farm shops. It took a while to perfect the 'recipe' of oil, wax and resin but I believe we've got it just right.
