Empire gathered bespoke handmade lampshade, cream background with grey spots of different sizes.

The fabric is an Ikat print of spots. The fabric has been gathered and sewn by hand to the Empire frame to create a unique and pretty lampshade. It is finished with a velvet trim at the top of the shade and mini pom poms at the bottom. The trimmings are not very wide (6mm) and therefore do not overpower the frame.

It is displayed on a lampbase which is 30cm high (not including the bulb fitting). Please note, only the shade is for sale. It would look beautiful on a wooden lampbase also and would be a lovely contrast of texture and colour to a wooden base.

It is suitable for E27 and E14 light fittings and a reducer ring is included if required depending on your fitting you choose for the shade.

The material is fire retardant and meets safety standards.

I think gathered shades are so pretty and add detail and texture to a room and shows that a great deal of thought has been put into the decor. Personally, I feel they have so much more to offer than a flat shade. The fabric was purchased from John Lewis and chosen for it's quirky print. I tried a number of different trims before I came across the mini pom pom's. .
