This is a digital print of my original watercolour painting”Gannet and Chick”, which I painted in 2019.

It's printed on a giclee machine, so the colour reproduction is perfect and every detail is captured. Printed on heavy watercolur paper with a slight texture and presented in a mount with a stiff backing, the print is archival and will last 100 years, probably longer.

This image is A3 size and the mount is A2, which is 59cm X 42 cm. These are standard sizes so it will be easy to frame. It's in landscape orientation, so it's wider than it's tall.

Last summer I visited Bempton Cliffs in North Yorkshire, where I spent ages gazing at a gannet nestled on a ledge with its chick. Then I started wondering what it would look like if the cliffs and the sea were made of patchwork, so I painted it to find out. It looks like this.
