A driftwood surfer hanging 10 with toes on the nose.

The wave is hand carved from reclaimed wood and the Surfer and Surfboard are from driftwood wash up at my local beach.

I try to be as ecological as possible with all my work. All materials are sustainably sourced. The driftwood is cleaned in boiling water over an open fire, using off cuts and unused wood for fuel. Then rinsed and air dried to remove any bugs and bacteria in the wood.

I try to use the natural shape of the driftwood for my designs to do as little cutting and shaping as possible. This means every item is as natural and unique as it can be.
