Item details

I was sent a photo from a friend who has a house in Italy of a kestrel with his prey in a stance I have never seen before.
He was standing so proud on one leg clutching his prey in his other claw. He was so typical of an ancient Roman.
I had to try to recreate this incredible moment while paying tribute to Roman art as well as to the kestrel himself.
I am delighted that, in my opinion, I achieved this goal.
He is made entirely from silver-plated cutlery mounted on a substantial oak burr which has been fully treated.
He stands approximately 22cm tall and is approximately 22/23cms wide.
He weighs 1900gms.
