Whistle with a high pitched sound, so good for dogs, teachers, scout & guide leaders and walkers. This one has a lovely curvy shape and feels silky smooth in your hand. It has a hole drilled at one end to hang from a lanyard but could be hung from a key ring or comfy in your pocket. Apple is that wonderful wood that's traditional a gift of love...

Found some dry Apple which is lovely to turn. I was given this by Batman - yes really - he's a bat protection chap who we see in different woods & fields all over Essex & Hertfordshire. He'd told me about this piece of wood that had come from a fallen apple tree in his meadow (he cuts it with a scythe!) and he left it in my front garden one afternoon. I enjoy making small items and Apple wood has a wild grain that's all over the place, difficult to work but one of the most satisfying. So that's the Apple whistle back story...
