Item details
It's that planting time of year and ash is a good resilient wood for outside use. The wood was brought on a course by a student who was a Tree Officer in Camden Town and he decided to leave the remaining log with me rather than lug it home on the train. It was part of a street tree pruning job that had to be carried out as part of his roadside management plan for the borough. Having seen the grain pattern emerge from the log I knew I had to use the remainder and so turned this piece into the dibber in the picture.
