These genuine hats are woven in Ecuador in a city called Azogues.
I am very close to my roots working alongside these artisans to support and promote their craft, families, and lifestyles which, in turn, supports fairtrade & sustainability.
The traditional technique of weaving the Ecuadorian straw hat was listed in 2012 by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
