At Linslade Canal Festival some hawthorn had been cut down and a lady who'd bought some runny honey asked me to turn one there & then on my pole lathe. Only too happy to oblige I got cracking, the end result was very pretty and the customer was delighted. I was asked to take the remaining logs with me and I've continued to use it to turn these handy little things.
