Memories of being a little girl, having tea at a friend's house where the crusts were always cut off the bread and the sandwiches cut into 4 little triangles. Later having tea with older ladies who always got their "Best China" out of a glass-fronted cabinet, served proper tea made with leaves in a china pot and boiling water, the tea pot being kept warm with a hand-knitted "tea cosy". Triangular, no crust sandwiches again, and home made cakes on beautiful floral chintz china.....
