Badgey was a firm favourite with my niece when she was little (her Badgey though was a glove puppet). I painted this one to remind her of her childhood now that she's all grown up with a baby of her own!

I decided to share this in the form of a digital print mounted in a professionally cut, off white mount with v-groove, signed on the mount in pencil and can be readily framed, so that you can get as much pleasure from him as my niece does from the original painting.

All of my mounted prints come packaged with a card back and in a clear cellophane wrapping.

Badgey is part of a series of colourful animal artwork I have painted. The original is in acrylic on watercolour paper, as I personally find this works best for my way of painting.

When I first started working on this theme I wanted to explore some humorous expressions on the faces of the animals. Badgers had always been a firm favourite of my eldest niece when she was little so I decided that now she was all grown up I would rekindle some happy childhood memories for her to share with her new son

I believe that colour and humour in a painting always seem to be a good combination.
