Please note, the base pattern piece from the cat is missing, but I have copied a new one. You can see it in the 10 photos.

How wonderful is this vintage sewing pattern published by Butterick in the 1970’s. "The friendly stuffed zoo” is a group of gentle animals featuring lion, rabbit, cat and owl. The pattern is in a pretty good state, with the owl and Lion not having been used at all. A tiny pattern piece, the base of the cat, has long since disappeared, but I have copied another one and photographed it in the description for you. Tho the envelope is a little bit creased and torn, its still in pretty good shape for an item getting on for 50 years old! I love the period photo on the front, with the friendly stuffed zoo relaxing on the 1970’s brass bed!

The instructions and pattern layouts are enclosed, and the description on the envelope reads “fiber-fill lion, rabbit, cat and owl with felt remnant eyes and noses and purchased ribbon bows.”

I love finding old sewing patterns. They take me back to a time when whole rooms were put aside in grand department sores, simply for browsing through enormous sewing pattern books. This one has a particularly sweet period photo on the front, which could be framed and put on a workroom wall.
