Ideal as a brooch or for holding your favourite, hand knitted waterfall cardigan in place, fastening a shawl or embellishing a woolly hat, my shawl pins are all unique. Each one is made with polymer clay and features a bamboo pin. They are extremely lightweight so won't pull your garment out of shape, and make an unusual gift to accompany any knitted item. A little piece of wearable art!

This one-of-a-kind pin was hand painted in shades of red, crimson and black and includes some faux gold leaf which sparkles when it catches the light. There is a clear layer of clay protecting the colour and the polymer clay elements have been lightly sanded and buffed to give the piece a soft sheen finish.

Each pin is sent wrapped in acid free tissue paper, mounted on a presentation card which includes care instructions.

This pin was inspired by a field of deep red poppies seen on holiday in France. I have tried to capture the depth of their colour and the delicate translucency of their petals when they catch the light.
