The inspiration for the design was taken from researching baby knits across various mediums - pattern books, Pinterest, Instagram, Google searches etc. What really caught my eye time and time again was the sheer level of utter cuteness when you mix a kid-friendly colour palette and an animal element. Colour-wise, the inspiration actually came from the gorse bushes that cover huge areas of land here on Skye - they produce beautiful tiny yellow flowers between about January and June/July and are one the first things I think of when considering the colours of our lovely island.
