Item details

Patchwork backpack hand made from upholstery fabric remnants. Sid the Snake twines in and out of the squares of this bag - a bit like snakes and ladders board game. Sid is made from leftover fabric too, embellished with hand painted patterns, and a beautiful hand painted button for his eye.
The back pack is lined with waterproof fabric, left over from boat upholstery, and has pockets inside for pens, phone and bits and bobs. Roomy enough to take an A4 folder, it's ideal for a school/college bag.

We cut leftover fabric into squares and strips to make our Urban Remnant items, someone suggested making a draught excluder, so I started sketching patchwork snakes for that - then they sort of morphed into this 3d appliquéd snake weaving in and out if a backpack!
