This pouch or purse is made from a great vintage teatowel, featuring a lovely bold Scandi print, probably from the 1970’s. Two gentlemen, perhaps on their way to a festival or a wedding, adorn the front of this little zip up bag. Its strong unusual colour combinations make it stand out from the crowd, and it would make a nice weekend bag for small amounts of toiletries. It would also work well as a little storage bag for headphones, coins and cards. What a great present for all lovers of Scandi and mid centuary design.
The bag measures 19 cm by 22 cm with a dark green zip opening of 19 cm.
The teatowel has been backed onto cotton to strengthen it but it is still soft. There are 3 old buttons stitched onto the front.
The back is made from dark blue recycled denim, and it is lined with a yellow 1980’s Liberty cotton print.
There is a hook for hanging it up somewhere nice to admire the fab vintage design, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please wash with care on a short cool wash, and hang on the line to dry.
I like to reuse where possible. Your pouch will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my stash. It will be sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
I love the strong graphics of these mid centuary designs, and am so pleased when I find one at a table top sale, or York car boot. With their simple strong designs, they look so contemporary. Its hard to believe that this tea towel could have been designed 40 years ago! There is a matching little purse to this also in my shop right now.
