The design is printed on Acid Free 100% Bamboo A4 paper meaning the paper has a Cream/ Ivory tone. The Print Size of this design is also A5 and covers an A5 paper size within the A4 paper.

I was lucky enough to have my camera on hand when I saw the wild deer and its confidence allowed me to take multiple photographs to work when creating my design. The most difficult step when translating this encounter into a lino carving was trying to convey the impression of a dense forested area behind the deer with limited space, so I practised different ways of creating this sense of depth and once I was happy I transferred it onto the lino block and began to carve. I handprinted the design onto the Paper using Essdee Water Based Block Printing Ink. This print comes in a very natural soft green tone, to mimic the softness of the animal and its similarity with its surroundings.

Please note that this print is unframed and due to the handmade process and characteristics of ink, natural differences and irregularities will occur between prints.
