Item details
Walking through the winter fields listening to the skylarks sing can be just as beautiful as a summer day.
The sky is wide and pale blue, the wind whips around you blowing your hair across your face.
At the field edges, the skeletons of last year's wild grasses stand proud against the skyline.
I found a patch of Teasles, tall and brown and prickly, they inspired this piece of work. I dyed the cotton fabric myself and recreated the colours of the winter fields I was walking through.
