The Purple Heart Indian drizzle bead rosary necklace is hand cast from epoxy resin.
The resin is colored with alcohol inks in rose pink, royal blue, golden yellow and white.
Using the petri technique.
The front the heart has tones of royal to eggplant purple with one top section a beautiful candy pink. The bottom edge has a edging of royal blue.

back of the heart colors are orange-red, deep emerald green, indigo-purple, royal purple, royal blue, candy pink shading into vibrant orange-red.

The Purple Heart is mounted on a silver color nickel free large loop bail with a 10mm jump ring.
The beaded rosary chain links are attached to the jump ring.
The Rosary Chain alternates between
deep candy pink glass beads with metallic green and gold brush stroke foiling. They are bracketed by 4mm small yellow-green glass crackle beads. Deep royal purple beads with metallic blue and gold brush stroke foiling & light pink crackle beads. Pale pink transparent beads with metallic fuschia pink brush stroke & light pink crackle beads. Clear beads with metallic purple brush stroke & light pink beads.
The last four links drizzle beads in the above mentioned colors are bracketed by 4mm yellow-green beads.
Chain length : 22 inches
Heart length and width: 2x2 inch
The chain is continuous and fits over the head.

I was inspired by the materials themselves and the petri resin technique pioneered by artist Josie Lewis. The rosary chain colors we're chosen to go with the different colors in the heart.
Deciding to mount the heart on rosary chain handmade by myself. Was inspired by collecting beautiful rosaries made from different materials and that a rosary is a precious piece of religious jewellery.
The colourway purple is associated with Royalty, rarity and religion. A purple heart is associated with bravery in battle.
We are all brave everyday for giving our heart, our love to another person.
This heart is a celebration of being brave in giving such a valuable and precious piece of yourself to another.
