This is a unique wet felted vessel.
Shades of green and earth tones wet felted into an organic shape to create an original piece, suitable to store treasure, rings etc.
The vessel is very approx 6cm square, although I have created the shape to be organic and resemble a seed pod.
The beautiful shades of green and brown are visible in layers throughout the pot.
The pot could be very gentle washed using a wool soap and very gently padded dry with a towel, reshaping while still damp.
It is not a rigid piece, it is made of felt and so has a soft tactile feel.

I wanted to create a vessel that was organic in shape, ignoring the normal approach of a regular shaped vessel. I chose to incorporate the colours of the landscape that surrounds me in the Yorkshire Dales. Using sheep's wool, colours of the landscape and an organic shape, I wanted to create something close to nature.
