Hammered Cabochon Ring by MidasTouch Jewels in Wales
A wide, statement, handmade chunky ring set with a handmade glass cabochon bead in blue and green spotted marble effect. The is approx 14mm with one shoulder plain and the other hammered. The band is 1.5mm thick in sterling silver.
The shoulders are slightly curved to give greater effect and the cabochon appears to float between the shoulders.
Hallmarked in Birmingham with Anchor, Date and MidasTouch Jewels (PAT) marks.

Early in my bead making I had lot of broken beads in the kiln. Having spent hours making them I didn't want to throw them away. So I put them back in the kiln at a higher heat and made them into cabochons. Now I do it deliberately! these are then used to make rings. The shank has a swirly pattern reminiscent of waves
