Item details

This is an original and unique piece of felt. I have created the picture using the wet felt technique, then when this was dry, I embellished and added detail with free machine embroidery and hand stitching as well as needle felting.
The piece is approximately 9 inches x 8 inches. Although this is a piece of felt and as such the edges are uneven and the piece is not symetrical.
The felt will come to you unmounted and without a frame so that you can choose your own mount and frame to your own taste.

Using an almost abstract approach, I hope I've captured the sense of movement and flow and palette of colour in the beautiful Wensleydale landscape. I've incorporated the stone barns, hedges, stone walls and of course the sheep decorate the hills and dales in this special part of North Yorkshire. These are the views which surround me where I live. Take in the whole scene, then look closer for the details.
