This is a unique and original felted landscape painting.
It measures approximately 22cm by 27 cm
This is a piece of felt and as such does not have regular borders or edges.
It depicts a typical Yorkshire Dales view, over hill and dale, with sheep in the foreground.
Wet felted landscape painting, made from Yorkshire sourced wool and incorporating strips of my hand painted silk. The piece was embellished once it was dry, creating detail with hand stitching and free machine embroidery and needle felting.
The picture will be sent to you without a mount or frame, so that you can choose your own mount and frame to your own individual taste.

This wet felted landscape painting depicts the essence of the Yorkshire Dales. The hills and valleys, the dry stone walls and of course the sheep which are around every corner. I've tried to capture the rolling landscape, with its pretty colours and grazing sheep. I live in Wensleydale and literally out of my studio window there are sheep grazing and rolling hillsides. I aimed to capture the movement and gentle feeling of this beautiful part of the world.
