This quilt is made from a curtain in the Sanderson Rose and Peony fabric. The backing was originally a king size sheet and there is a polyester wadding inside. The curtain and sheet are second-hand but were prewashed before I made the quilt and the wadding is new.

It measures 86" x 65" (2.2m x 1.65m), and would fit really well on a single bed.

As I said the fabrics are not new and there are one or two imperfections in the curtain fabric from where it was originally a curtain. In particular there is a small hole which I have repaired but which is difficult to see even if you know it's there. (See picture 4). Once made I have then quilted the whole thing by hand in a diamond pattern using a running stitch.

I think this would look lovely in a country cottage style bedroom.

It can be gently washed at 40 degrees. From a smoke and pet free home.

It weighs just over 2kg, hence the high postage.

I bought the curtain in a charity shop because I loved the pattern and colours. I knew I wanted to make a quilt but it took a while to find the right colour fabric for the back. I didn't want to buy new fabric as I wanted it to have a vintage feel and I love the idea of upcycling.
