For sale is a beautiful 2020 Chinese New Year card. This card is specially designed and printed in the UK, by Hoy Communications' founder Martha Chan. It is a perfect card to send to your friends and family and to show that you are thinking of them in the run up of the Year of the Rat (the Chinese New Year falls on 25 January this year).

This A6 (10.5 x 14.8 cm) greeting card will come with a complimentary C6 red envelope (red is a lucky colour to Chinese people). The insides of the card are left blank, for you to write messages on.

To support the Naked Cards movement and in order to reduce unnecessary waste, I refrain from using a cello bag to house the card. The card will be posted to you using a "DO NOT BEND" hard backed envelope.

This is not a card that you would usually see in shops. Vibrant colours with traditional Chinese symbols such as lucky clouds and old Chinese coin were used when creating this card; yet it looks modern and exquisite. The four Chinese characters on the card mean "wishing you an auspicious new year".

As more and more people celebrate Chinese New Year, there is a demand for relevant greeting cards. Martha, the founder of Hoy Communications who originally comes from Hong Kong, looked around and found the cards in shops looking either cliche or bland. She knew she could do better. So she has made a bi-lingual Chinese New Year card with graphic and symbols that represent the Chinese traditions, yet the card bears a slight hint of western influence. As you can see, the result of this card is stunning. She has decided to design a Chinese festive card every year for her friends and family, and hopes the folksy community will love it too.
