Original Watercolour Cat Painting of a Caracal Kitten

Painting Dimensions
The size of the painting is approx. 250mm x 280mm or approx 8in x 10 3/4in. (About A4 in size)
Frames and mounts are for illustration purposes only and will not be included.

Packaging & Materials
I have used an excellent quality watercolour paper and the finest of brushes to produce the tiny details which bring this painting to life.
The painting will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and then padded with packing. I aim for my originals to arrive with you in the same condition that they left me. I use the Royal Mail’s ‘Signed for Next Day’ or ‘International Tracked’ service.

A bit about me!
I am a full time professional artist based in Devon in the United Kingdom. I specialise in wildlife – animals, birds, insects, pets etc. I love to capture the life within my paintings and I enjoy working with the watercolour medium to create fine detail. I am continually adding to my portfolio and draw inspiration from amazing photographers and also the stunning North Devon environment.

A friend of ours took the reference photo for this painting while she was at Exmoor Zoo in Devon. Caracals are a type of wild cat characterised by distinctive ear tufts. If you look closely you can just see these starting to grow on this kitten. The species is also known as the Desert Lynx. I can tell you that painting all that beautiful rusty coloured fur was fun and also challenging with my tiny little brush!
