This easy to follow online course and kit by Sian McLachlan of Shoorah Shoorah gives you the skills and materials you need to make your own bold statement necklace at home through step by step instructions and detailed videos. Perfect for beginners or those with more practise at necklace making.

Sian Mclachlan from Shoorah Shoorah, the Yodomo instructor for this project, loves making knotted rope necklaces and says,

"I use traditional knotting techniques to make necklaces from rope and cord. Shoorah Shoorah was the name of a song by Betty Wright and for me and my friends, her song is the song you play at a party when you want to get everyone dancing. It's the ultimate sense of fun', a bit of 'shoorah shoorah'! "

"I was really into traditional macrame when I was a teenager, and as I got older and into bold, bright fashion, I started trying macrame with larger rope - seeing how these knotting techniques could make bold, modern designs.

Whenever I wear one of my necklaces, I get stopped every time!  It'll be brilliant to create something for yourself, and when someone asks "where's that from?" you can say, "I made it."
