This unique, beautiful item was originally made to be a pocket belt (or hip bag) but can be adapted into a handbag if necessary. It’s approximately 15cm square, with an internal pocket (not zipped). Hand carved and dyed, with burgundy cross stitch detail and set with a Labradorite stone. The belt/strap element is yet to be done, as I’ve been waiting to make it to fit the person who wants it. Working with the Ogham, or Celtic Tree Alphabet, I was called to work with Elder. This tree offers powerful medicine around death and rebirth, transformation, endings and beginnings and regeneration. Elder is concerned with transformation of the death of the year. We gather the last of the harvest, now, and store the seeds for the next years growth. The Elder encourages us to use this time for personal withdrawal, retrospection and release. This tree encourages us to connect with the ancestors and seek out the knowledge of ancient indigenous ways ...

It was the summer, and the Elderflower was in bloom and I just saw them everywhere I went. I love nature, so often take my little boy for walks on the downs and in the woods. I decided to work with the Elder, to experience its medicine, and my was it powerful! I had huge releases and healing over deep wounds I’d been carrying for years.
