My lovely friend Nicola and I decided to create a joint story advent last year, with a flash fiction story and illustration each day, posted on The Storybook Cafe social media accounts. I thought they would make lovely, unique Christmas decorations after I read The Starless Sea by Erin Morganstern in which one of the characters writes down her nightmares or rips pages from books and makes them into origami stars to hide in the many bookcases to be batted around by the resident cats. These stories aren’t nightmares however but tiny sparkling dreams...
