We were staying in a small cottage in the hills above St John's Town of Dalry in Dumfries and Galloway. A few yards away was a small mountain stream. After very heavy rain in the night this turned into a raging torrent which my husband, Peter Thwaites, painted in watercolour. It was a superb day with vibrant colours after so much rain.
We produce our own prints using a high-quality Epson printer with archival inks on Hahnemuhle or Canson 310 gsm digital watercolour paper. The image is shown here with a simple mount to better effect, but it is offered for sale unmounted and sent rolled in a tube.
