Description
Swallows flying over Eckersley Mill, Wigan. This is a signed and dated piece of wall art and is produced from laser engraved 4mm plywood, (clear water based coating applied after engraving). It is one of a series of designs based upon British wildlife, flora and fauna, (a personal interest of mine).
Size: 45 cm height x 37 cm width.
I can also make custom sizes to order.
Each artwork comes with optional velcro wall fixings.

Note that this artwork is laser engraved which is a process that burns a contrasting mark onto the wood surface, (see pictures). As with all wooden products, there are minor variations in colour and texture.

Inspiration
This artwork is part of my collection of designs based upon British wildlife, especially wildlife in urban and industrial settings. I really like the form of Swallows and Swifts, and the fact that they are visitors to the UK, (one minute flying above an old mill, the next an African Savannah). They have beautiful clean lines as a bird, and I think the contrast between them catching flies above an old mill, (Eckersley Mill in Wigan), really works. I hope you like it.
