This practical hip bag is 21cm tall, 20cm wide and 5 cm deep. The Cornish black and gold combination is a winner for any fan of style - Cornish or not. The main body of the bag can be closed with an elasticated draw cord and toggle. The zipped front pocket is ideal for a phone or glasses and the easy access pocket behind it is for things you might need quickly - hankie? dog poo bags? There are 2 side pockets for pens and penknives and 3 internal pockets to help to keep things separate.

The hip bag is designed to be worn on the right hip (out of the way when driving) and attaches with a wide webbing strap with quick-release buckle.

Barefoot Pedlar hip bags are made from the scraps left over from shade sail and canopy projects . It's acrylic canvas and has a water-resistant coating; you can reproof the bag after washing if you need to.

Welcome! This is a very new shop and I'll be adding lots of other items soon. Look out for more hip bags, hip pouches, bags, hats, aprons, coin pouches, tote bags and shoulder bags. All made from recycled, salvaged or found materials.

Barefoot Pedlar's alter ego is Countryside Ranger. I wanted to find a way to carry all the small things I need to have with me - without having them in an inaccessible rucksack - or a dangling shoulder bag that swings in the way. My prototype hip bag was born! The first one was simply 2 large pockets from an old (dead) waxed coat sewn back to back. My current hip bag is blue and green - but every time I make a new colour combo I want one of those too!

Other folk who appreciate the hip bag design include dog walkers, cyclists and playground attendants.
