This started life as an extravagant large diamante necklace, probably dating from the 1950s, but when it got to me it was in a sad state, with broken strands and missing stones. I was able to salvage enough to make a smaller necklace, with the addition of bits of other broken necklaces, and some impressive matching earrings.
