Inspired by people asking for small gifts, our Dream Catchers are made to fit that need.
Each Dream Catcher is made from 5 hand-cut squares of coloured glass, which are arranged in our kiln, and capped with a single piece of clear glass.
The kiln runs through a controlled cycle to heat the glass to around 800 C, which causes the individual glass pieces to fuse together and become one. The kiln then controls the cool-down to room temperature, allowing the glass to anneal for strength and to remove stresses caused by the heating.
Once cool, we use a diamond tipped bit to grind a hole in the Dream Catcher. We do this with the glass covered with water to keep everything cool and to prevent dust.
Once threaded with a piece of satin ribbon, the Dream Catcher is fixed to the card, and placed in a cellophane cover with the matching envelope to make sure it arrives with you in tip-top condition.
Our Dream Catchers are made with care in our Shropshire studio.
