An unmounted print from my original drawing of a barn owl atop an ivy clad tree stump. There is a white border around the image, making it ready to frame - and the copyright notice does not appear on the actual print!

The print is made using Epson lightfast pigment inks on acid-free A4 (8.3" x 11.7" / 21cm x 29.7cm) Epson Archival Paper, so the colours should remain true for decades if kept out of direct sunlight. It comes with a 100% recycled backing board for protection while in transit, and is wrapped in 100% recycled tissue paper to protect the print itself.

All FREE POSTAGE items in the UK will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class (2-3 days delivery).

All non-UK shipping is by Royal Mail International Standard (5-7 days delivery).

All of my pencil drawings take hours to create, as each one is built up hair by hair (or feather by feather or scale by scale!) in up to 14 layers. I look for 'hidden' colours in the subject's fur/feather/scales/skin and use these in the first few layers to create depth.

Please note that as computer screens differ from one to another, the colours you see may be slightly different to the actual colours on the item.

While on holiday in Pembrokeshire, I encountered this beautiful little chap at a flying display being held at an owl centre, and because I've never been fortunate enough to encounter one in the wild, I couldn't resist snapping away with my camera and doing a few sketches.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

Additional terms

All orders for individual items valued at GBP £25.00 or more are shipped by UK Royal Mail First Class Tracked OR International Tracked and require a signature upon delivery. WHAT IF MY ORDER DOESN'T ARRIVE WHEN IT SHOULD, OR IS LOST IN THE POST? - Any shipped order that appears to have been lost in the post should be notified to me immediately. Once sufficient time has been allowed for delayed delivery (up to 25 days for international mail) and it appears that the item really is lost in the post, I'll need to contact Royal Mail with the details before we agree to replace or refund (Royal Mail will contact the buyer to verify the facts before processing the issue). A record of all communication will be provided to Folksy for use in the (hopefully unlikely) event of a dispute. WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED? - Please inform me within 7 days from the day after you receive the damaged item. I'll then arrange a refund or a replacement within 30 days from being notified of the problem (this will be LONGER for a replacement ORIGINAL artwork). Please also email me three clear photographs showing the damage to the item and to the packaging as you received it, and return the item to me so I can claim compensation from Royal Mail. Once I receive the damaged item from you, for Open Edition Prints: I'll send you a replacement print. For Limited Edition Prints (Excluding Linocut and Woodblock Prints): I'll send you an identical print if I have one - otherwise I'll issue a refund. For Original Artwork (Including Linocut and Woodblock Prints): I can either create another piece or you may choose to have a refund.
