The tweed I've used for the main body of this bag is an absolute delight and sadly this is now the last of the roll. It is a Donegal handwoven tweed woven by Jim Brogan (see photo of label which was attached to the tweed). I thought all my Christmases had come at once when I found this in a charity shop!!
I've teamed it on this occasion with a grey tartan which was a furnishing fabric remnant which I've used for the flap and the handle.
The bag has been decorated with an appliqué of a sleeping fox which I've hand embroidered. The bag is lined in a rust furnishing fabric offcut and has an internal pocket.
It fastens with a magnetic clasp on the flap which has a diagonal edge to give interest. The shape of the bag is my own design - functional but a little different.
Size: 31 cm wide by 6 cm deep by 31 cm high
The handle is long enough to go across your body (125 cm) when you need your hands free
