Description

This ring is size S and 6mm wide.

Joining wood and copper to make a stunning piece of jewellery which can be worn every day.

This ring starts life as a slice of wood which is cut to size and over several hours steam bent into shape, the copper core is cut, shaped and hand formed into the required size. The two pieces meet and left to dry and stabilise for at least 24 hours. The copper is then taken to the next level with filling and sanding to ensure a comfortable fit.

The ring then undergoes 8 separate layers of finish followed by a painstaking polishing procedure for both the outer wood layer and the copper core. It is then stamped, snuggled into its box and ready to go to its new home.

I recently had some time on my hands and fell totally in love with the design and making of these one of a kind pieces.
