A sterling silver ring which has been designed to make the most of a faceted, beautiful, Green Nephrite (Jade) gemstone, the twisted wire ring shows off the simplicity of the setting used for the Jade gemstone. This ring is a ‘one-off’ and cannot be repeated.

Nephrite is a delicate stone and is best set in this way, the rub over setting safe guards the integrity of the stone and I have left the back of the gemstone open to allow for maximum light to enter the naturally opaque green nephrite gemstone, the design allows for many years of enjoyment.

The Nephrite Silver ring is hand made from .925 Sterling Silver, and is an original design made by me.

The faceted Nephrite gemstone is 10mm x 8mm in size when unset.

The ring will be in an exclusive ‘Jewellery Room’ box, placed in an organza bag and sent in a padded envelope by 1st class post.

Please note this ring is made from Sterling Silver, the metal used to make the ring weighs less than 7 grams and does not require a hallmark, the ring will be stamped 925.

A sterling silver ring which has been I designed this ring to make the most of the faceted, beautiful, Green Nephrite (Jade) gemstone, the design makes the most of the simple setting.

How its made...
A section of Silver bezel wire is wrapped around the gemstone and joined together. Three separate pieces of Sterling Silver wire are annealed to create strength in the final piece of jewellery before being tightly twisted together, pushed around a ring mandrel to create the rounded ring shape and finger size before soldering together. The setting and ring are then joined together using Silver solder. Two 3mm rings are cut in half before soldering to each side of the setting embellishing the setting. The ring is hand finished using traditional metal smithing techniques before being stamped 925, finally the Green Nephrite gemstone is set and secured into the handmade setting.
