A beautifully simple and stylish item of jewellery, I wanted to make a simple necklace with a marquise gemstone as the centre of attention, I think I’ve succeeded as this has become a very popular gift. The .999 PMC pure bright polished Silver curved pendant is set with a 5mm Marquise Cubic Zirconia gemstone.

Each curved CZ set Silver jewellery necklace is hand made from .999 Precious Metal Clay, and are an original design made by me.

The .999 pure Silver metal is solid and will not bend, the necklace is of Sterling Silver having an extension loop fitted 2 inches from the end to allow for flexible use, a spring clasp fitting allows for easy put on and take off. This a unique gift!
I hand make a new pendant when one is sold, the necklace pictured is the original item. A necklace is ready to ship and we aim to post most items the next working day, if you require a different colour gemstone please contact me.

I had a Marquise gemstone on my bench and wanted the stone to be set simply and be the centre of attention, i could have just put it on a chain but when i rolled a snake of clay and curved it a little i knew i'd found exactly how I wanted this pendant to look.

How it's made
A snake of PMC is rolled, and a curve created, the clay is then dried on a hot plate, once dried a slot is created into the top of the dried clay, this facilitates the necklace to be threaded through the curved bar. The dried clay is then sanded and filed before firing at 760 degrees turning the clay into .999 Silver metal, after firing a Sterling Silver Marquise setting is soldered to the necklace before placing into Picklean, the piece of jewellery is hand finished using traditional metal smithing techniques. Finally a Marquise Cubic Zirconia gemstone is secured into the setting. A sterling silver 18”/20” sterling silver trace chain is placed through the slot previously created into the dried clay.
